Gigabit broadband is one of the hottest topics in the US networking market these days, which is why hundreds of executives from network operators, municipalities, local government and enterprises converged on Atlanta recently for the first Gigabit Cities Live event, organized by Light Reading.
Over the course of the two days the attendees heard the views of the traditional network operators -- as well as the alternative network operators that are helping to fuel to Gigabit economy -- and benefited from the insights of technology and application developers that are helping to realize network and service rollout plans.
