CHICAGO -- International Telecoms Week (ITW) took the windy city by storm this week as global operators came together for what's billed as the largest conference and trade show aimed at the wholesale space.
The weather cooperated for Sunday's opening keynote with Steve Wozniak, co-founder, Apple Computer. Luckily on Monday and Tuesday when the gales and downpours hit, attendees were so busy making deals, networking and listening to panels that they barely left the conference which was spread across two hotel conference centers connected by Chicago's underground pedway system.
Network events stretched late into the night during the week with parties, happy hours and quite a few Chicago Cubs baseball games a Wrigley Field, a big treat for event attendees because the Cubs are having an amazing season so far. Us locals are hoping this is the year they break "The Curse."
Being a local, I headed downtown on Monday and Tuesday to meet with a number of operators and suppliers -- and captured a few pics of the show.
