With more than 20 years of ICT experience to his credit, Martin has built a strong track record in managing technology, solution and product developments, business developments and industry positioning and partnership.
Executive Director, Advanced Technology, Cox Communications
Jeff Finkelstein has been a key member of the engineering organization at Cox since 2002, and led the team responsible for the deployment of DOCSIS technologies, from DOCSIS 1.0 to DOCSIS 3.0. He was the initial innovator of advanced technologies including Pro-Active Network Maintenance, Active Queue Management and DOCSIS 3.1. His current responsibilities include defining the future cable network vision and teaching innovation at Cox.
Corporate Vice President, Juniper Development & Innovation, Juniper Networks
Ahmed Guetari works closely with customers and partners to accelerate adoption of Juniper products and technologies (Routing, Switching, Security and SW/Contrail). He previously served as VP of product management for routing, and also served as CTO of the Service Provider sector in EMEA. Prior to joining Juniper, Ahmed held positions at Nortel Networks and at 3Com, where his main focus was on helping global enterprise customers building advanced LAN/WAN infrastructures.
CTO, Service Provider, Cisco Systems
Colin Kincaid is responsible for articulating a vision for the evolution of Cisco's SP business and defining a strategic plan to advance that vision. He previously led a product management team focused on the needs of web and OTT customers. He has also led a number of high-impact initiatives, including the development of SP subscriber services, running the services and integration teams for carrier network and OSS/BSS environments, managing the development of Cisco's 10K switching platform and VPN security product development.
CTO, Ensemble, ADVA Optical Networking
As part of his role at ADVA, Prayson Pate is an evangelist for network functions virtualization (NFV). He speaks at industry events and writes posts and articles to inform, educate and entertain, mostly about NFV with plenty of innovation for good measure. Prayson has contributed to standards bodies such as the MEF and IETF, and is a named inventor on nine patents.
Derek Peterson, PH. D.
CTO, Boingo Wireless
Derek Peterson is responsible for Boingo's technical vision and strategy. Under his leadership, Boingo is pioneering the adoption and deployment of the latest IT and network technologies including Passpoint, network virtualization and convergence. He is directly responsible for building and operating Boingo's core technologies and systems. Derek has deep telecommunications experience as a consultant, engineer, product manager and executive. He was named CTO of the Year by Los Angeles Business Journal in 2017 and was a 2015 Fierce Wireless "Wireless Industry Executive to Watch.”
Vice President, Network Product Line, Huawei Technologies Co.
Robert Qi has been responsible for the overall business strategy and industry development of Huawei network BU since early 2013. He has held various positions in the company, and has accumulated rich experiences in the network domain for more than 18 years. Prior to his current position, he served as Vice President of Transmission Network Products, in charge of Huawei's microwave business, SDH/NG SDH business, transmission network product portfolio and lifecycle management. He has led various teams that work closely with global carriers to provide innovative network solutions.
Managing Director, EANTC
Carsten Rossenhoevel is the Co-Founder and CTO of EANTC AG (European Advanced Networking Test Center). He is rapporteur (Editor) of ETSI NFV TST007 and is active in NFV and SDN interoperability testing and performance benchmarking. Based in Berlin, Germany, EANTC is an independent test lab specializing in telecommunication technologies, offering vendor-neutral network testing services for manufacturers, service providers, and enterprise customers. In this role, Carsten has over 20 years of experience in telecommunication networks testing.

Steve Saunders began his publishing career as a journalist before launching Light Reading in 2000, followed by the launches of Heavy Reading, Dark Reading and Internet Evolution, an award-winning, online community investigating the future of the Internet. Steve is also the Founder and serves on the board of the New IP Agency (NIA), a not-for-profit independent initiative providing information, education, analysis, community services and testing to support and accelerate the development of a global economy based on open, advanced, virtualized IP networks. Steve has won more than 100 awards for journalism and publishing.
Vice President, Strategy & CTO, IP/Optical Networks (ION) Business Group, Nokia
Stephen Vogelsang is responsible for looking at the road ahead and determining which new projects and emerging markets are suitable for investment by Nokia. Relying on a background that includes more than 20 years of experience in the telecom and networking industries, Steve helps to develop road maps for the company so it can seize the opportunities that are a best fit. Some of his key successes in this role include driving investments in Packet Core and CDN technology, as well as being an early advisor on the company's work in NFV and SDN.
Head, Network-On-Demand, Colt
Mirko Voltolini is responsible for the development of the SDN and NFV technologies supporting Colt's software defined on-demand network, including the IT orchestration and monitoring capabilities, as well as the management of the on-demand product portfolio. In this role, he leads the effort to architect and develop the Colt network and product portfolio to deliver an online digital customer experience where customers order, design and manage their network services on-demand. Mirko has held several senior roles in technical development and engineering since joining Colt in 2002.
