Thank you everyone. Great questions. Great answers.

Well, it looks like you answered everyone's questions, either on-air or on the message board. Thank you, so much, for a terrific conversation, Vickie. We all appreciate your time and invaluable insight. It was a real pleasure.

Steel

I love the engineer's creed and the fact that you're living it. Really inspiring.

Steel

Great point that no one can "ensure!"

Steel

Listeners, if you'd like to share this radio show, the audio is available as an archive.

Steel

@brfanc Service Assurance is taking a backgroud to to Application Assurance in the customer conversation.  IF you can assure (no one can ensure) the app performance, the service assurance has to "prop it up" behind the curtain so to speak.

Here's another Q, for you Vickie:

The expectations of putting network functions into the cloud are getting provisioning and operations more flexible and agile. What is Your experience?

STEEL

Steel

@jbodensohn My expereince has been that our operations and provisioning teams are getting MORE flexible and agile because we automating so many more of these policies, so the people are left with the far more interesting work

Here is another good question:

Vickie, thank you for the session.  Very informative.  Can you tell us where the topic of service assurance comes into the conversation with customers, or potential customers?  SLAs, QoS, etc

STEEL

Steel

Great show today, thanks for thoroughly addressing my question!

Great radio show! Thank you!

Thank you all for tuning in! And thanks to Vicki, for being such an awesome guest.

Steel

end user customer = the company's customer.

Thank you, it was very interesting.

Steel

Thanks for addressing my question!

Does the mobile network need to reduce latency to allow for services like IoT, AR/VR or Enterprise LAN breakout services?  If so, how will Verizon facilitate doing this?

Steel

Interesting to know

Steel

Has implementing DevOps been advantageous to meeting your virtualization goals?

Co-opetition is an oldie, @Kelsey... back from the 90s!

Steel

co-opetition - clever, haven't heard that one!

Do customers have some fears regarding virtualization of network function in the cloud?

Steel

Security is always the big concern. Lack of funding is alway one of the largest issues.  Just sayN. Not really a question but what's the answer?

Start posting your questions for Vicki!

Steel

not the case - there are some specific standards from a software and NFV point of view that are able to be leveraged. YANG/Netconf, ETSI architecture, etc...

Define an end customer please -- is this a small-medium enterprise?

Steel

Sounds like customers don't want to know how the sausage is made, just want the technology to work

Good afternoon, everyone

Steel

Good afternoon, everyone.

Steel

We're delighted you're our guest today, Victoria! I promise, it will be a lot friendlier conversation than last night's debate! :)

Steel

Everyone getting ready?!

Steel

Hello - when will the slides be available?

Greetings and salutations all!

Steel

Looking forward to this!

Steel

Will there be a replay?  i ask as it will be 3or 4am in Sydney, Australia

@Alison Yes, looking forward to hearing from Victoria!

This will be a terrific show. Really look forward to welcoming Vickie Lonker of Verizon to Voices On Virtualization. Start thinking up questions for the chat immediately following our radio conversation!

Steel

looking foward to this radio show!
