I totally agree with you. In speaking to Dave about his new business philosophy, he said to think about the days when you know you're leaving early -- you're going on vacation or you have an appointment. Somehow, you manage to get things done because you ignore the dumb emails that don't need reading, spend less time around the coffee machine (or wherever), and just get down to work. As you say, @SpecialF57755, these hours won't work for everyone -- or even for every day -- but I think it's a good idea to consider just how necessary 9-5 or 8-5 really is for everyone and every role. We might be surprised!

The 5-Hour Day
I read that Fast Company article about Tower and the five-hour work day this past weekend and thought it was brilliant! We waste so much time and condensing working hours into shorter, more concentrated spans might not work for everyone, but I know it would for a certain segment of the population. I think innovative measures such as this in business will be what catapult companies forward, not overworking which leads to burnout.
